"Underwater Robotics in Russia and Asia-Pacific after COVID-19: Challenges and Perspectives" Youth Round Table will be held in the online format. The event is conducted in frames of the "Prospects for the Development of Sea-based Robotic Complexes (Systems)" Research Conference organized by Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and Admiral G.I Nevelskoy Maritime State University. The Research Conference along with Aquarobotech National Competition has been successfully organized in Vladivostok by FEFU and its partners since 2018.
The Round Table will gather young underwater robotics professionals and experts from Russia and Asia-Pacific countries for the discussion of COVID-19 impact on such hi-tech industry as underwater robotics. As part of the program, invited experts will share their vision of the current trends on underwater robotics and conduct two sessions of case study on the topic of digital underwater robotics.
Among hosts of the Round Table are FEFU as the most innovative university of the Russian Far East, Russky Technopark which is successfully improving technological entrepreneurship ecosystem of the region, and the Center for Robotics Development under the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Russky Technopak CEO Dmitry Borovikov will give his welcoming speech at the Round Table, while the keynote address will be delivered by FEFU Underwater Robotics Team Lead Anton Tolstonogov. Moreover, participants of the Round Table will have an opportunity to learn about the underwater robotics in Japan from the Case Study by one of the invited experts Dr. Keisuke Watanabe from School of Marine Science and Technology, Tokai University, Japan.
